Our Taranaki team is looking for an enthusiastic full time Greenspace Operator to maintain our beautiful parks and spaces!

Downer Greenspace is proud to work in partnership with the South Taranaki District council responsible for maintaining our districts greenspaces, parks, reserves, sports fields & cemeteries in accordance with Downer policies and client specifications. We Have a reputation built through having great people and access to first class plant and equipment along with leading edge technology. Our teams are professional and focused on delivery of best practice for our clients and the members of the public.
A Bit About The Role
You will report directly to our team supervisor and your day to day tasks will include but not be limited to mowing, edge control, weed spraying, maintaining reserves, playgrounds, cemeteries, sports parks and recreational facilities.
Nga pūkenga matua | Important Skills
- Have experience in Upfront / Ride-on Mowing in Parks, reserves and urban areas.
- Self-motivated and reliable with the ability to work in a team to deliver outcomes to the highest standard.
- A Minimum Full Class 1 Drivers Licence and class 2 is advantageous.
- Basic mechanical knowledge and to be technically competent in the use of electronic devices.
- A Growsafe approved handler spray certificate would be an advantage however full training will be given.
