Production, Delivery & Maintenance Horticultural Worker – Kaimai Greens (BioGro Organic Microgreens)
Location: Matamata Customers: Supplying the entire North Island Hours: 4 days per week – full-time hours Start date: 26 January
Kaimai Greens is an established BioGro organic certified microgreens producer supplying customers across the North Island. We operate a systems-based, commercial growing environment where consistency, hygiene, and reliability are essential.
We are seeking a long-term, experienced horticultural worker to join our production team.
The Role: This is a hands-on, practical role suited to someone reliable, capable, and comfortable with repetitive tasks.
Core duties include:
- Repetitive potting up and seeding of trays
- Emptying and cleaning harvested trays
- Greenhouse crop care
- Maintaining cleanliness and organic standards
- Part-time delivery driving
- General handyman / maintenance tasks around the operation
Important: This role involves repeat, repeat, repeat production work. Accuracy and consistency matter.
Harvesting might be offered to the right person once core production work is being done reliably.
Note: this role does not include packing.
Requirements:
- Proven horticulture, farming, or food production experience (essential)
- Comfortable with repetitive manual work
- Practical handyman / maintenance skills
- Reliable, punctual, and able to follow systems
- Physically fit
- NZ driver licence
Horticultural qualifications are a bonus.
Important to Know:
- This role is trial-based — a paid work trial will form part of the selection process
- A police check will be required
- This is not a casual or short-term position
