About the role:

Based in the Darfield area, you can enjoy the outdoor lifestyle, beautiful scenery, and proud client base. We are currently looking for an energetic Technical Field Rep to cover the Darfield area from the Selwyn High Country and Rakaia Gorge through to the flats of Te Pirita and beyond, this patch has a diverse mix of farming from arable, dairy, sheep, and beef (Both intensive finishing blocks through to High country runs). You will provide trusted technical, and sales advise on farm, to existing and new clients.

Operating out of our brand new store in Darfield with our high performing team comprising of a Store Manager, 5 CSR's and 2 Arable Representatives.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Utilise your proven sales skills to hit your targets
• Identify client needs and provide sound and accurate product and farming advice
• Build farm systems solutions alongside client farming practices
• Communicate new technologies and technical knowledge to clients
• Be readily available to clients as a source of technical knowledge and information and complete requests in line with PGG Wrightson's service standards
• Assist clients, colleagues and suppliers to answer queries and resolve problems

Skills, qualifications and experience:

• Strong Sales skills both with existing clients and cold calling
• Proven extensive knowledge of the New Zealand rural sector is essential
• Develop and demonstrable understanding of current arable, sheep and beef farming practices
• Confidence and expertise to develop new business with a strong customer focus
• Outstanding organisation and team building skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Reasonable fitness as some heavy lifting and physical work is required
• Full, current and clean New Zealand driver licence
