Mine Manager (West Coast)
NZ Placer Mining Ltd has an expanding alluvial gold mining operation at Walkers Flat near Westport and seeks an alluvial mine manager. Recovery plant has been upgraded, operating equipment is modern, and you will be joining a motivated team. This is a great opportunity to join a growing company which has exciting opportunities ahead. This is a permanent full-time role and the mine has a long expected lifetime.
The Mine Manager will hold an A-grade CoC and have alluvial gold mining experience. The role will become autonomous so you will need to be motivated, a great all-rounder with excellent communication and leadership skills. You will be given all the support necessary for you to succeed. Responsibilities:
- Recruit, train and support staff development.
- Oversee all aspects of mining operations, including production, maintenance, and quality control.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and promote a safety-first culture.
- Ensure compliance with environmental and consenting requirements.
- Input to budgets, manage resources, and schedules to meet operational goals.
- Trouble shoot and problem solve.
