Architectural Technician / Architectural Draughtsperson (ArchiCAD/ Revit)

Tauranga based - Nationwide Projects

We're advertising a role within a new 'start up' architectural practice with ties to nationwide to builders, developers, and homeowners.

Our work is diverse and rewarding — from minor residential alterations through to, multi-residential developments, commercial projects. (and everything in between).

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with clients, builders, and team members to develop high-quality building consent documentation
  • Utilise ArchiCAD/ Revit to produce comprehensive, accurate drawings
  • Prepare and review building consent applications, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations
  • Self-manage project deliverables and timelines
  • Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and local authorities
  • Support the wider design and documentation process across multiple project types
  • Experience & Technical Requirements
  • Diploma or Degree in Architectural Technology (or similar)
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a New Zealand-based architectural environment
  • Confident using the Microsoft Office suite (Windows)
  • Familiarity with project management software (WorkflowMax an advantage)
  • Comfortable using council-based systems

Strong understanding of:

  • NZ Building Code
  • NZS 3604
  • Resource and Building Consent processes
  • Licensed Building Practitioner (LBP) accreditation – Design 1 or 2
  • Must hold a New Zealand Drivers Licence and NZ residency
