Description

We are a progressive architect practice located in the Tasman District with a diverse and exciting range of projects and a solid client base. We are looking for a part-time contract based Architectural Graduate or Draftsperson to assist with our growing workload. The role will be to provide documentation and drafting support to our registered Architect Director and will involve a diversity of responsibilities from producing concept drawings and renders, measured surveys through to documentation of working drawings for council consent applications. Our project range varies from commercial, heritage, residential alterations through to new build residential.

The applicant must have at least 2 years experience. You must be enthusiastic with a proactive approach to detail and design solutions, good communication and time management and have a professional aptitude.

The opportunity is for flexible part-time contract work on a project by project basis. At this stage you would be remotely based out of your own home or premises but be able to provide on the ground assistance in the locality of the Tasman and Nelson districts for site visits and for project development discussions at CP Architects offices. You will need to have your own Archicad License. Remuneration will be on an hourly rate TBD on experience.

Key skills and attributes: *Minimum of 2 years industry experience. *Tertiary qualification in architecture / drafting. *Proficient in Archicad. *Excellent communication skills. *Thorough attention to detail. *Solution focused. *Competent understanding of NZBC and standards eg NZS3604. *Strong technical knowledge and detailed documentation experience. *Solid understanding of building, design and consenting process'. *Positive and enthusiastic. *Able to work independently and unsupervised.
