I Tech Automotive Ltd is one of New Zealand’s leading automotive repair facilities. We operate modern service workshops, hybrid battery repair services, and EV/hybrid parts sales alongside our state-of-the-art repair centre. Our team includes certified technicians supported by the latest diagnostic, scanning and testing equipment.
We are now looking for Entry-Level Automotive Technicians to join our growing Manukau team. This role is perfect for recent graduates or trainees with a minimum NZQA Level 3 Automotive Engineering qualification (or equivalent overseas qualification) who want to start a long-term career in the automotive industry.
What You Will Be Doing
- Assist qualified technicians with servicing, inspections, and repairs
- Perform basic maintenance: oil changes, filters, brakes, tyres
- Support diagnostic checks and troubleshooting (under supervision)
- Maintain job cards, service records, and workshop documentation
- Help keep the workshop clean and meet all safety requirements
- Assist with vehicle movement, parts handling, and customer preparation
- Work as part of a supportive and professional workshop team
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum NZQA Level 3 certificate in Automotive Engineering (or equivalent overseas qualification)
- No previous work experience required — full training provided
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Good communication skills and a positive team attitude
Employment Conditions
- Guaranteed minimum 30 hours per week
- Permanent, full-time position
- Pay rate: $ 26 - 27 per hour
