Are you an experienced Auto Electrician with a passion for diagnostics, fault-finding, and keeping heavy vehicles operating at their best?
We're looking for a skilled Heavy Vehicle Auto Electrician to join a busy South Auckland workshop supporting a fleet of trucks, trailers, and transport equipment. With a strong pipeline of work and an immediate need for experienced people, this is a great opportunity to secure ongoing work with a professional team.
Whether you're trade qualified or have built your expertise through years of hands-on industry experience, we're keen to hear from candidates who can hit the ground running and deliver quality workmanship.
Location: Wiri, South Auckland
Start date: Immediate
Pay rate: $35-$42 per hour | Weekly pay

What You'll Be Doing
- Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults on trucks and trailers
- Installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems on heavy vehicles and transport equipment
- Fault-finding using diagnostic tools and testing equipment
- Repairing wiring, lighting, charging, and starting systems
- Installing cameras, GPS units, telematics, and other electrical accessories
- Conducting preventative maintenance and inspections
- Completing service reports and job documentation accurately
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as an Auto Electrician
- Strong electrical diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Experience working on trucks, trailers, heavy vehicles, or transport equipment
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and schematics
- Experience installing and repairing vehicle electrical systems and accessories
- High attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Strong commitment to health and safety
- Reliable, motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Trade qualification advantageous, but experienced non-qualified candidates are encouraged to apply
