Backgrounds that suit this role include qualified technicians from franchised dealerships, those with Toyota/Lexus experience, or experienced techs from other brands who value precision, process, and continuous learning.

You'll be responsible for:

• Perform routine servicing, diagnostics, and repairs on Lexus and other vehicles, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and "fix it right the first time" standards.
• Complete all jobs within manufacturer-recommended times while maintaining high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
• Accurately document all labour, service work, additional findings, and use of time in line with dealership and Lexus NZ requirements.
• Conduct safe test drives before and after repairs, verifying concerns and ensuring repairs meet quality-control expectations.
• Collaborate professionally with Service Advisors, Parts, Sales, and Workshop leadership to support seamless customer service and authorisation of work.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment, follow all safety procedures, and participate in ongoing Lexus technical training and upskilling.

Ideal skills and attributes will include:

• Qualified Automotive Technician with proven experience in vehicle servicing, diagnostics, and repair (Lexus/Toyota experience preferred but not essential).
• Strong diagnostic capability with the ability to accurately identify faults and complete repairs within manufacturer timeframes.
• Full NZ driver's licence with confidence test-driving a variety of vehicles safely.
• High attention to detail, including accurate repair order interpretation and precise recording of work performed.
• Strong commitment to quality, safety, and maintaining a clean, organised work environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with Service Advisors, Parts, and Workshop leadership.
• Willingness to undertake ongoing Lexus training, keep up to date with new models, and maintain required tools for the role.
