Automotive Technician

We are looking for a skilled mechanic, ideally with WOF authority.

Summit Automotive Ltd is seeking an Automotive Technician to join our friendly and supportive team. Have your weekends to yourself – we are open Monday to Friday only. Competitive remuneration - negotiable based on experience.

Skills & Requirements for this Position:

-A minimum of 5 years of experience in repairs and servicing -Fast problem-solving skills -Confident in diagnostics -Understands time management, reliable and committed to work -Strong manual skills and precision when carrying out repairs and testing -Able to work unsupervised -Ability to work as part of a team -Class 1 drivers license -Must be NZ resident or have an appropriate NZ work visa

The Role:

-Vehicle Servicing -Repairs and diagnosing -WOF authority -Engine builds -Tyre changing e.g., balancing, fitting -Electrical, e.g. repair and replace faulty wiring and electrical components and systems. -Assembling and installing electrical and electronic systems in motor vehicles -Fitting accessories, airbags,suspension etc -Manage quality and excellence -Coordination and preparing quotes for work when required -Maintaining a strong relationship with customers

We offer a full-time permanent contract Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5p.m. If you reckon you'll be our person we'd love to hear from you.

We also offer a paid Friday afternoon per month so you can work on your own vehicle.

The technician we are looking for, must be one who has a high standard of workmanship as well as a good, hardworking ethic, is honest and is one who treats others with respect.
