Hi-Tech Auto Electrical is seeking an experienced Automotive Electrician to join our busy team of skilled technicians in Rolleston, Canterbury.
Reporting to the Workshop Forman, you’ll be responsible for the high-quality preparation, installation, repair, and servicing of electrical systems in vehicles, tractors, and a wide range of machinery.
This role includes diagnosing and repairing electrical faults.
Please note, while this role is primarily a designated Field Service role, there will be a mix of workshop-based and on-site field service working requirements in order to meet our customer’s needs.
To be successful in this role, you will have
- At least 4 years’ experience in a similar role
- A current full driver’s licence
- Strong product and system knowledge
- Confident diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Solid experience using electronic diagnostic equipment
- A self-motivated, fit, and energetic attitude
Responsibilities include
- Diagnosing, servicing, identifying, and repairing complex automotive electrical faults
- Meeting deadlines while maintaining a high standard of workmanship
- Supporting and mentoring less-experienced technicians
- Completing daily timesheets, job details, and records accurately
