We’re on the lookout for a hard-working, enthusiastic Vehicle Hoist Technician / Installer to join our Canterbury-based team.
This is a physical, hands-on role, suited to someone who enjoys practical work, working with tools, and getting stuck in. If you’ve got a mechanical background and a good attitude, we’re happy to train the right person.
About the Role: You will be responsible for the installation, servicing, maintenance, and repair of vehicle hoists and lifting equipment at customer sites throughout Canterbury. This role involves manual handling, working with tools, and working on-site in workshop and commercial environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installing vehicle hoists and lifting equipment
- Servicing, fault-finding, and repairs
- Routine maintenance and safety inspections
- Manual handling and physical work
- Working independently and within a team
- Providing professional customer service
What We’re Looking For
- Mechanical background preferred (automotive, engineering, or trade-related)
- Strong technical knowledge of automotive workshop equipment is ideal
- Diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Enthusiastic and willing to learn – full training provided for the right person
- A great attitude and the ability to work under pressure
- Self-motivated, reliable, and safety-focused
- Comfortable with physical and demanding work
- Full and clean NZ driver’s license (essential)
- Must be a New Zealand citizen or resident
