Description
We at Shadz Automotive are looking for an Automotive Technician in a full-time permanent position. The position is for minimum of 30 hours per week and maximum of 40 hours per week. The hourly rate is minimum $26 per hour to maximum of $35 per hour.
To be successful in the role, you must be able to perform the following duties:
- Responsible for general servicing, maintenance, repairs to light vehicles
- Inspections, diagnostic testing, repair and day to day workshop duties such as transmissions, suspension, steering and brakes, including hybrid vehicles.
- Recommend solutions to customers and complete repairs as per customer approval

- Have a proven track record in automotive repairs and service
- Be familiar with modern diagnostic procedures and equipment
- Having a strong diagnostic & repair skills on hybrid vehicles will be advantageous to your application
- Experience working with any make or model would be an advantage
- Hold a clean Driver's License
- Be punctual, reliable, and efficient and a positive attitude to customer service.
- The ability to work well unsupervised.
- Be a team player
- Ability to work weekends and extended hours if required.
Skills and experience:
- You must have three years of verifiable work experience or a NZ Level 4 certificate or overseas equivalent in Automotive Engineering (Light or Heavy).
