About the Role
Position: Diesel Mechanic
We’re looking for an experienced Diesel Mechanic to help maintain our modern fleet of trucks—predominantly Kenworths. You’ll be working in a fully equipped workshop with access to high-quality tooling and support though you’ll need to bring your own toolbox.
Location: Gisborne Qube Forestry Workshop
Status: Full-time Monday to Friday with occasional Saturdays and after-hours work as required. Standard hours are 6:00 AM – 5:00 PM with flexibility around start and finish times. (Please note that the operation is 7-day week 24-hour so flexibility is needed)
Specific Responsibilities
- Servicing and repairing a fleet of modern trucks (predominantly Kenworth)
- Diagnosing and resolving mechanical issues
- Replacing and repairing components
- Supporting fleet operations in a busy high-performing environment
Who we're after:
- Candidates should have Level 4 NZQA Diesel Mechanic Qualification (or overseas equivalent)
- Experience working on heavy diesel trucks
- Must be confident working independently and as part of a team
- Should have a proactive and flexible attitude
- Able to meet the demands of a 24/7 operation
