Description
If you are looking for a change, a bit more responsibility, then we may have the position you have been looking for.
This is a hands-on role working alongside a tightknit team of diesel mechanics. With 90% of your day on the tools, 10% in the office
Key Responsibilities:
- Day to day job scheduling and workflow management for your team
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension and other systems.
- Pre-COF inspections and repairs
- Scheduled Servicing
- Conduct preventative maintenance and thorough inspections.
- Troubleshoot issues efficiently to minimize downtime for our clients’ fleets.
- Help train the next generation of The Workshop’s diesel mechanics
Requirements:
- 5+ Years of proven experience as a qualified heavy diesel mechanic.
- Leading hand experience and job management experience.
- In-depth knowledge of diesel systems and diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work well under pressure.
- Valid driver’s license (Class 2-5 not required but preferred)
- EWP and Crane repair, service and safety inspection experience (not required but preferred)
- Forklift license (not required but preferred)
- Basic welding skills (Not required but preferred)
