Heavy Diesel Mechanic
We’re currently looking for an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join a busy workshop in West Auckland. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys maintaining and repairing heavy machinery and diesel vehicles. Location: West Auckland, Auckland Start date: Immediate start available Pay rate: Up to $45 per hour depending on experience, plus weekly pay
About the Role: In this role, you’ll be responsible for the diagnosis, servicing, and repair of heavy diesel vehicles and machinery. You'll work on a range of equipment including trucks, plant, and heavy machinery, ensuring they are maintained to a high standard and ready for operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical faults on heavy diesel vehicles and machinery
- Service and maintain trucks, plant, and equipment
- Carry out repairs and preventative maintenance
- Ensure all work is completed safely and efficiently
- Complete maintenance records and workshop documentation as required
What We're Looking For
- New Zealand Certificate in Heavy Automotive Engineering (Level 4)
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic
- Strong ability to diagnose and repair diesel engines and heavy equipment
- Full NZ Driver Licence
- Strong commitment to health and safety
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
