Are you an experienced Truck and/or Heavy Diesel Mechanic looking for a new opportunity? We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our dynamic team, with a Workshop foreman role for the right candidate. As a vital member of our workshop, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing a variety of heavy-duty trucks and diesel vehicles.
Key Responsibilities: Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on trucks, trailers, and other heavy diesel vehicles. Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools and expertise. Replace or repair faulty components including engines, transmissions, suspension systems, and brakes. Perform preventative maintenance to ensure the longevity and safety of vehicles. Keep accurate records of work completed and parts used. Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient operations.
Skills & Experience: Proven experience as a Truck/Heavy Diesel Mechanic. Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and vehicle systems. Proficient in using diagnostic equipment and hand tools. Sound leadership skills - ability to communicate and lead by example, maintaining a positive work environment. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. Relevant certifications (e.g. Diesel Mechanic, Heavy Equipment, or related trade qualifications) are a must. A valid driver’s license (with a clean driving record).
