Wellington Pipelines Ltd is a privately owned and operated Drainage and General Contacting company servicing the Wellington Region. We are members of CCNZ (Civil Contractors NZ) and are Totika Impac Prequal Health and Safety Assessed.
We’re looking for a qualified and experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our team. You’ll manage a small workshop, service and repair all types of plant, trucks and trailers, whilst training an apprentice. You’ll also be a go-to, to adapt to any situation and produce a productive outcome.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Maintain and manage all aspects of the mechanical workshop
- Service and repair trucks, trailers and plant from 1.5T to 50T in workshop and on site
- Attend breakdown callouts and preventative maintenance
- Carry out COF pre inspections
- Work alongside, monitor and supervision of apprentice Diesel Mechanic
- Attend and participate in relevant management meetings and monthly All Staff toolbox meetings

- Class 1,2,3,4,5 licences W,T,R and F endorsements are a bonus
- Be able to work alone or as part of a team
Successful candidates are required to pass a pre-employment drug screen prior to employment.
