Workshop Manager

Midas Nelson is looking for a qualified mechanic with a current WOF certification to join our growing team as a Workshop Manager.

We’ve already got two skilled mechanics and are now looking for a third team member to help lead and support the workshop. This includes managing workflow, helping customers, quoting, and keeping jobs running smoothly.

You’ll have full support from the owner, plus a solid crew beside you. This isn’t a role where you’re left to sink or swim. We want someone who can grow into the management position with training, guidance, and ongoing support. You’ll still be on the tools too, working on everything from routine servicing to major repairs like timing chains, engine work, and diagnostics across a mix of vehicles. There are plans for future business expansion, so there’s room to progress as the business grows.

We’re after someone who: *Is a qualified automotive technician (Level 4 or equivalent) *Holds a current WOF certificate (preferred) *Has strong diagnostic and mechanical skills *Can lead a small team and keep the workshop organised *Is confident with customers, quoting, and invoicing *Brings a positive attitude and good communication *Has their own reliable set of tools *Takes pride in their workmanship and presentation

This is a full-time role (40 hours per week), with extra hours available during busy times.
