Key Responsibilities
Safely tow and transport vehicles to and from the yard for dismantling. Assist with roadside vehicle recovery as required. Operate tow trucks and recovery equipment in compliance with all safety procedures. Load and secure vehicles to prevent damage during transport. Perform pre-start vehicle checks and basic maintenance on tow trucks. Negotiate fair prices with customers when purchasing vehicles. Maintain accurate job logs and reports. Uphold a clean, safe, and organized working environment. Deliver car bodies and scrap metal to designated facilities.
Skills & Experience
NZ Class 2 & Class 4 driver licenses with a V endorsement (vehicle recovery). Forklift license and experience preferred. Experience driving heavy vehicles or tow trucks required. Knowledge of Auckland roads and safe driving practices. Physically fit and able to perform lifting as required. Reliable, punctual, and professional. Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Health & Safety Responsibilities Follow company Health & Safety policies at all times. Use tools, equipment, and PPE correctly and safely. Identify hazards and report unsafe conditions immediately. Ensure safe handling of vehicles, engines, and heavy components. Contribute to a safe workplace for all staff.
