Automotive Mechanic
Are you a trade-qualified mechanic with WOF authority looking for your next opportunity? We’re on the hunt for an experienced Automotive Mechanic to join a supportive and fast-paced team based in Havelock North. If you’re passionate about diagnostics, repairs, and working with people who care, this could be your perfect fit.
Location: Havelock North, Hastings Start date: Early Feb 2026 Pay rate: $30–35 per hour depending on experience (paid weekly)
In this role, you'll be responsible for:
- Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults using specialist tools
- Performing repairs and replacements across engines, brakes, suspension, and A/C
- Carrying out scheduled maintenance and preventative servicing
- Conducting WOF inspections and ensuring vehicle compliance
- Communicating repair needs to customers clearly and professionally
- Completing work orders, estimates, and detailed records
- Handling engine and transmission rebuilds or replacements
- Providing tyre services and wheel alignments
- Troubleshooting electrical systems, sensors, and components
- Installing performance upgrades and tuning vehicles
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
- Automotive trade qualification
- Current WOF authority
- NZ residency or citizenship
- A high level of industry experience
