THE OPPORTUNITY
This is a hands-on role where you’ll be a key part of a busy, practical workshop team. As the workshop assistant/yard hard you will be taking care of the day-to-day yard and support tasks, helping our mechanics and engineers focus on what they do best.
No two days are the same. One day you might be getting vehicles ready for servicing, the next you could be moving equipment, helping in the workshop, or supporting the workshop manager with preparing vehicles for auction. You’ll be trusted to get stuck in, use your initiative, and take pride in keeping things running smoothly.
If you like being active, interested in mechanics, enjoy working outdoors and indoors, and being part of a team that looks out for each other, this could be a great fit.
This role suits someone who enjoys practical work, likes variety, and wants to be part of a supportive, close-knit team where your contribution really matters.
This is a fixed-term role for six months, to help us cover over a busy period of time with staff away.
ABOUT CENTRAL FARM SERVICES

- Take pride in keeping things tidy, organised, and safe
- Are reliable and happy to pitch in wherever needed
- Can follow instructions and always work safely

If you’ve worked around farms, workshops, machinery, or yards before, that’s great - but if not, we’re happy to train someone who’s keen to learn and shows the right attitude.
Most importantly, you’re someone who turns up, help-out, and gets the job done.
