Vehicle Painter

Job Opening: Vehicle Painter Are you a perfectionist with a spray gun? Do you have an eye for colour and a passion for making cars look like they just rolled off the showroom floor?

Key Responsibilities: Surface Prep: Sanding, masking, and priming panels to ensure a flawless base. Colour Matching: Utilising specialised mixing systems to achieve perfect matches (including metallics and pearls). Application: Spraying base coats and clear coats in a professional booth environment. Quality Control: Buffing, polishing, and rectifying any imperfections (runs, dust, etc.) post-bake. Efficiency: Managing your workflow to meet the yard’s turnaround targets without sacrificing quality. Vehicle paint: To do minor denting on the vehicle and paint it Colour Match: To colour match the paint with the vehicle's original paint.

Who We’re Looking For We need someone who knows their way around a mixing room and a spray booth. Requirements: Proven Experience or Qualification: At least 1 year of experience in a similar industry, vehicle grooming / Painting in New Zealand OR qualification at level 4 or above Technical Skill: Proficiency with modern spray equipment and paint systems (Waterborne or Solvent-based). Detail-Oriented: A "good enough" attitude won't cut it here; we need someone who notices the small stuff. Reliability: You’re a pro who shows up ready to work and takes pride in your output. License: Driver's License ( Class 1) preferred.
