Bodytech Panel & Paint is seeking a skilled and experienced Automotive Spray Painter to join our high-performing team in East Tamaki.
We are a well-established panel & paint workshop providing high-quality repairs, refinishing, and restoration work. Due to increased workload and growth, we are looking for a reliable technician who can deliver premium quality finishes every time.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Preparing vehicles for painting: sanding, masking, priming
- Mixing and matching paint colors
- Applying basecoat, clearcoat, and refinishing to a high standard
- Maintaining paint equipment and spray booth
- Working collaboratively with our panel and refinishing team
- Ensuring all work meets industry and insurance standards
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as an automotive spray painter (NZ or overseas)
- Strong knowledge of refinishing systems and paint technology
- Ability to work independently and meet high quality expectations
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- A commitment to health & safety
- Trade qualification (preferred but not mandatory)
