About the Role

This is an exciting position for someone new or experienced in the automotive repair industry. The successful candidate will be fully trained in all aspects in-regards to repairing plastic parts on motor vehicles to become a qualified Plastic repairer.

The Plastic Repair technician is responsible for ensuring parts are repaired to the highest quality standard within agreed timeframes and in accordance with the approved repair specifications as set out by AMI MotorHub.

Day to Day

• Identify parts to be repaired
• Safe use of repair equipment
• Identify plastic types
• Repair plastic parts by using the correct process in a safe manner
• Carry out inventory stock take (monthly)
• Report to Plastic Repair Manager (weekly)
• Communicate with site floor manager and estimator

Skills and Capabilities

• Ability to find high and low spots in plastic parts
• Plastic Welding (no experience required)
• Sanding (no experience required)
• Filing (no experience required)
• Attention to detail
• To be a team player with good communication skills
• A high standard of presentation
