Sitrak NZ, part of the MTE Group, is a leading commercial vehicle and transport equipment business specialising in trucks, trailers, and custom vehicle builds. We’re looking for an experienced Automotive Painter to join our workshop team, working on a variety of new builds, refurbishments, and specialist projects.
About the Role You’ll be responsible for painting trucks, trailers, and heavy transport equipment, ensuring high-quality finishes that meet our standards and customer expectations.
Key duties include:
- Preparing vehicles and components for paint (sanding, masking, priming)
- Spray painting trucks, trailers, and components
- Mixing paints and matching colours
- Maintaining paint booth and equipment
- Ensuring all work meets quality and safety standards
- Working alongside fabrication and assembly teams on custom builds
About You
- Qualified automotive painter or proven industry experience
- Experience painting commercial vehicles, trucks, or trailers preferred
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, safety-conscious, and motivated
- NZ work rights required
