With a busy workshop and a growing customer base, we’re looking for a motivated Apprentice Spray Painter to join our team and grow their skills in a hands-on, supportive environment.
About the role: This is an exciting opportunity to start your career in spray painting and heavy machinery finishing. As an Apprentice Spray Painter, you’ll assist with preparation, colour matching, and painting of equipment, working alongside experienced technicians. You’ll gain hands-on experience while learning industry best practices and developing your technical skills. Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing, painting, and touch-ups on machinery to a high standard
- Assisting service technicians during machine builds and projects
- Colour matching and spraying 2-pack paint accurately
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and tidy workshop environment
- Supporting strong customer service by providing clear updates on work completed
About you You’re motivated, eager to learn, and have a keen interest in spray painting or the automotive/heavy equipment industry. No prior experience in spray painting is essential, what matters most is your enthusiasm to learn and grow. You bring:
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Basic mechanical aptitude and computer skills
- Strong communication, organisation, and teamwork abilities
- Class 1 driver’s licence (Class 2/WTRF an advantage)
- Physical capability to handle equipment and work in varied conditions
