Description

The Honda Shop Matamata is looking for a confident and knowledgeable Parts Salesperson to join their team. Our fast paced and busy location is in need of someone who can jump straight into the role. For us it’s all about our customers and we pride ourselves in going that extra mile to provide the first-class service for which we are known.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Answering customer enquiries by telephone and email, providing advice, taking orders, selling parts and accepting payments for purchases.
  • Greeting and assisting customers in store, providing sound parts advice and demonstrating products.
  • Following up with customers about parts on order, arriving in store, or changes from the supplier.
  • Invoicing of parts and accessories accurately in the DMS, retail sales, internal sales, stock transfers and credits.
  • Accurate and prompt completion ordering, receipt and returns paperwork.
  • Providing prompt service to technicians, ensuring the correct parts are identified, provided and charged to the job.
  • Assisting with the estimation of parts for customers and insurance jobs.
  • Maintaining a stock taking schedule and keeping accurate stock.
  • Ensuring showroom products are displayed in a tidy and attractive fashion.
  • Assisting with promotions, events and in-store specials.
  • Liaising with local and national suppliers about new products and warranties where required and meet with sales representatives who visit out business.
  • Assisting with the Service Department including, booking work, contacting customers with progress updates, assisting with the pre-writing of invoices.

Experience Required:

  • Retail or automotive parts/accessories sale experience
  • Passion and knowledge of farm and off-road motorbikes
  • Strong computer literacy skills
  • The ability to learn new systems and procedures quickly.
  • Knowledge of how to utilise an electronic parts catalogue
  • Ability to work in a team.

Our ideal applicant will have:

  • Familiarity with F2 or a similar DMS system.
  • Great written and spoken communication skills
  • Ability to maintain good relationships with all our customers and suppliers
  • Confident and outgoing personality
  • Professional approach to all responsibilities and aspects of the role.
