To help us with this, we are searching for a Banking Operations Manager to lead our Banking Operations team, based in Invercargill on a fixed term basis.
This role provides centralised administrative support and subject matter expertise, in relation to the operational aspects of our banking products and Westpac operations and resolving process and procedural issues, recommending best practice.
What you'll be busy with:
- providing excellent customer service to our internal customers - the SBS Bank branch network, and members, through a centralised administrative support service
- liaising with solicitors to ensure there is an understanding and acceptance of SBS requirements
- actioning requests from external parties
- providing problem solving for some SBS Bank procedures and system related issues
- building collaborative working relationships with all customers and with your team members.
- responsibility for assigning tasks to the Banking Operations team members, scheduling and monitoring work and reviewing results for timeliness, accuracy and quality.
- leading the Banking Operations team in seeking, investigating and researching opportunities to improve and enhance systems and procedures
What you'll bring:
- demonstrated experience in team leadership
- ability to motivate and coach team members
- substantial knowledge of administrative processes and procedures within the banking industry
- previous experience in a banking or financial environment
- competency with MS Word, and MS Excel
- excellent organisational skills and the ability to cope with urgent and sudden changes in workflow
- initiative, enthusiasm, attention to detail and ability to prioritise workloads

This role is full time, 37.5 hours a week, worked 8.30am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.
This role is fixed term for up to 14 months to cover a Parental Leave situation.
