Are you trade-minded, confident on site, and hungry to grow sales? My client (an established specialist in hydronic underfloor heating and ventilation) is looking for a Technical Sales Manager in Christchurch who can build relationships, understand projects, and guide clients toward the right solutions for warm, efficient homes.

About the Role

You'll be the go-to person for homeowners, builders, architects, and contractors - providing technical advice, preparing quotes, and supporting system design. This role suits someone who enjoys mixing sales with practical problem-solving and has a strong understanding of how NZ homes are built.

What You'll Be Doing

In this hands-on technical sales role, you'll:

• Meet with clients, understand their project needs, and offer practical advice on heating and ventilation
• Prepare quotes, assist with basic layouts, and estimate materials and labour
• Follow up leads, drive sales activity, and convert enquiries into confirmed projects
• Work with internal teams to ensure smooth handovers and excellent customer experience

About You:

You'll thrive here if you have:

• Estimating or technical experience in HVAC/heating/construction
• Strong NZ construction trade knowledge and confidence reading plans or discussing site requirements
• A proactive, energetic approach - a genuine hunger to win work and grow sales
• Clear communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts simply, stay organised, and are confident with computers and quoting tools.
• Experience with hydronic underfloor heating, hot water systems, or MHRV is a bonus, as is a trade qualification or mechanical services background

Most importantly, you're hungry for sales - you chase leads, follow up with intent, and enjoy turning conversations into signed work.
