Estimator

We’re looking for a capable Estimator to join our Tauranga team, supporting projects across Bay of Plenty and Waikato.

In this role, you’ll play a direct part in securing quality work for the business alongside our Regional Managers. Your ability to build high-quality, commercially sound tenders will support sustainable growth across our Bay of Plenty and Waikato operations What you’ll be doing

• Leading the full tender process from kick-off through to final submission
• Preparing first principle pricing, quantity take-offs and cashflow-positive submissions
• Forge strong supplier and subcontractor relationships to strengthen bid competitiveness
• Monitor market trends and competitor activity to continually refine pricing strategies
• Streamline procurement processes and maintain an accurate supply chain database
• Embed lessons learned through post-tender reviews to drive continuous improvement What you’ll bring Key requirements:
• 5+ years’ experience in civil estimating or civil engineering
• Strong understanding of NZ contract conditions (e.g. 3190, 3915, Construction Contracts Act)
• Proven ability to influence outcomes through exceptional negotiation and communication skills
• In-depth knowledge of Waikato and Bay of Plenty civil infrastructure markets and supply chains Preferred:
• Site-based civil experience
• Candy Construction Software (CCS) experience
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Project, Procore or Jobpac Why You'll Love It Here
