This commercial construction company has a strong reputation for delivering projects on time and on budget with an outstanding commitment to client service delivery. They have decades of knowledge, industry relationships and a part of a group. They are known for building careers, have an inclusive team culture, they employ staff who are commercial and passionate about delivery. They currently have a vacancy for an applicant that has strong estimating skills and that is looking to be a lead in their South Island business.
Working within a team and reporting to a commercial director, you will be typically working on such tasks as:
Scheduling/estimating/pricing Tender preparation and analysis Cost management Subcontractor management and negotiation Team mentoring and management of Junior and Intermediate Estimators
Key success factors for this role require:
- A tertiary qualification in construction management or quantity surveying
- 10 years experience worked a Senior Estimator from a Tier 1 or 2 main contractor
- Sound knowledge of the local construction market and relevant commercial construction legislation and rates
- You are helpful, possess strong ethical standards, you have a high work ethic
- Outstanding written and oral communication
Remuneration: $150K - $200K pending experience
