Description
My client, Newfield Roofing, is an established, family-owned & operated commercial long-run metal roofing business in Christchurch. They are seeking an ex-roofer (commercial or residential) who wants to move into estimating, or an experienced estimator from a roofing company.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responding to inbound enquiries including visiting building sites to take measurements and defining the scope of works. This is a mixture of office-based with site visits.
- Reading plans and taking off relevant information for estimating purposes.
- Estimating and quoting on projects.
- Following up leads and providing additional information as required.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE DESIRED
- An experienced roofer - in long-run commercial or residential roofing OR someone with experience estimating for a roofing company.
- Quoting experience – could be with building or roofing materials, but open to other quoting experience.
- Ability to read plans, and take off roofing details.
- Task orientated and organised.
- Good attention to detail.
- Easy going and positive.
