About:
A rare opportunity has opened for an experienced Senior Estimator to join a respected Hawke's Bay construction company with a strong pipeline of varied projects ranging from $100k through to $10m.
This is a true estimating role, no quantity surveying, and no out-of-town commitments. You'll focus purely on high-quality pricing, tendering, and stakeholder engagement while working with a supportive, collaborative team. Due to forward-thinking succession planning, this position offers a genuine pathway into senior leadership over the next 5-10 years for the right person.

Responsibilities:
- Preparing accurate, detailed estimates for tender, design-build, negotiation, and ECI projects
- Managing and analysing subcontractor pricing and documentation
- Producing clear, structured quantity take-offs
- Developing and maintaining pricing databases and cost information
- Ensuring smooth handover to site and operations teams
- Building trusted relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
- Contributing to continuous improvement within the procurement/estimating function
- Supporting a values-led culture focused on professionalism, teamwork, and delivering excellence
About You:
- Proven experience as an Intermediate or Senior Estimator within the NZ construction industry
- Strong Excel capability and interest in system improvement or implementation
- High accuracy, commercial awareness, and attention to detail
- Strong communication and relationship-building ability
- Alignment with a positive, team-focused culture
- NZ Citizen or Resident
