Are you an experienced Estimator/Quantity Surveyor looking to take the next step in your career? Join a dynamic civil construction team where your expertise will directly contribute to winning and delivering successful, profitable projects. About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilledEstimator/Quantity Surveyorto lead the preparation of tender submissions and manage cost control processes across a diverse range of civil construction projects. This is a pivotal role where your commercial insight and technical knowledge will drive project success from tender stage through to final account. Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate and competitive tender costings and supporting documentation
  • Perform detailed quantity take-offs from contract drawings
  • Interpret and apply project specifications and requirements
  • Review and present tender submissions with senior management
  • Manage cost control, budgeting, and cost tracking throughout project lifecycle
  • Assist with interim valuations and final accounts
  • Reconcile budget vs actual costs and report on financial performance
  • Procure materials and engage subcontractors
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients
  • Prepare and submit contract variations
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure accurate reporting
  • Ensure compliance with contract documentation and quality management processes
  • Work within NZS3910 and other construction contract frameworks What We're Looking For:
  • Proven experience in estimating or quantity surveying within civil construction
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts (NZS3910 preferred)
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines effectively
  • High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and profitability
