Position: Carpentry/ Joiner/ Painter Property Face lift Limited Auckland New Zealand Hours: 30 – 40 hours a week Rate: $25- $35.00 per hour No Qualification required Minimum Experience: 2 years

 JOB DESCRIPTION

 Position: Construction Trades Worker – Carpentry / Joiner/ Painter  Candidates must have the skills and experience in the following field.

 CARPENTRY  Studying drawings and specifications to determine materials required, dimensions and installation procedures.  Ordering and selecting timbers and materials and preparing layouts.  Cutting materials and assembling and nailing cut and shaped parts.  Renovations and maintenance of property.  Cutting wood joints.  Assembling prepared wood to form structures and fittings ready to install.  Cutting wood joints  May repair existing fittings.  Bathroom wet wall installations, repair / maintenance.
 Fence and decking.  Understand Structure plans if required. PAINTING  Selecting the correct tools and paints for projects.  Select paint and under coat  Sand prepare and fix  Preparing walls and other surfaces before painting.  Mixing and applying paints, varnishes, and sealants for a lasting finish.  Ensure quality finish

Joiner  Study drawings, work orders, and specifications to determine job requirements  Measure, mark, and set out joinery components using measuring and marking tools  Cut, shape, and assemble timber and manufactured board materials  Manufacture joinery items including cabinets, wardrobes, doors, windows, shelving, counters, stairs, and custom furniture  Operate woodworking machinery and equipment such as saws, planers, routers, sanders, drills, and CNC machines (where applicable)  Assemble components using appropriate joints, adhesives, fasteners, and hardware  Install completed joinery components on-site and ensure correct fit and finish  Apply finishes including laminates, veneers, stains, sealers, and coatings as required  Select and prepare materials suitable for each job  Inspect completed work to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with specifications  Maintain tools, machinery, and work areas in a safe and serviceable condition  Comply with all workplace health and safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements  Work independently or as part of a team to meet production schedules and deadlines
