Description
We are looking for fit and reliable Experienced Carpenter to join our team and be a part of an exciting industry. If you are a self motivated, safe and reliable individual who thrives on task variety and excellent remuneration then this is the job for you.
We are based in West Auckland, however travel within the North Island is essential (as far as Kaitaia North, down to Hawkes Bay South).
Job description;
- All builder works associated with preparation of houses for shifting
- Cutting of houses, maintaining structural integrity
- Rejoining of houses, structural load bearing cleating
- Roof work, lowering and pitching roofs (corrugated iron, concrete tile), structural cleats on rafters, replacing purlins, laying paper, screwing off roof
- Renovation work on houses, kitchens, bathrooms
- Ensuring a high level of Health & Safety is maintained at all times
- Minimum of 45 hours a week
The ideal candidate will;
- Having 2 years building experience is preferred
- Heights Certificate is preferred
- Carpenter LBP license is preferred
- Must have (minimum) full, clean drivers license
- Have roofing knowledge
- Have house structural knowledge
- Be fit, reliable, and keen to work
- Be reliable and consistent with attendance
- Be self-driven and motivated
- Have an excellent attitude
- Be able to work unsupervised
- Be proficient in the safe use of skill-saws, sabre-saws, nail-guns and ladders etc
