Construction Labourer – Civil & Building Enterprise Recruitment – Construction Team | Christchurch / Canterbury Enterprise Recruitment is proud to support some of Canterbury’s leading construction and civil teams. As project demand continues to grow across the region, we are seeking motivated and dependable Construction Labourers to join our Christchurch team.
This is an excellent opportunity to step into a stable, well-supported role where your contribution is valued and your development is taken seriously.
About the Role As a Construction Labourer with Enterprise Recruitment, you will work across a variety of civil and building sites throughout Christchurch and the wider Canterbury region. Your responsibilities may include:
- Assisting tradespeople and site supervisors
- Site preparation, digging, backfilling, and general labouring
- Handling and moving materials and equipment
- Supporting concrete, formwork, and foundation teams
- Operating basic hand and power tools
- Contributing to roading, drainage, and earthworks projects
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and compliant work environment

What We’re Looking For We are seeking individuals who demonstrate:
- Reliability, professionalism, and a strong work ethic
- Good physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labour
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- The ability to follow instructions and work well within a team
- Previous labouring or construction experience (advantageous but not essential)
Preferred Qualifications: (Not required — training can be provided)
- Class 1 driver's licence
- WTR endorsements
- Site Safe or ConstructSafe
- Traffic control (TC/STMS) tickets
- Experience in civil, roading, or building environments
