Our client is a well-regarded local builder who has successfully built his own business over the past two years, backed by strong industry experience and a solid reputation. With a healthy forward workload and continued growth across South Canterbury, he's now looking for an experienced labourer/hammerhand to join him on site.
This is a hands-on role working directly alongside the owner across a variety of projects including residential renovations, pole sheds, decks, concrete work, and subdivision house and land packages. There's plenty of work ahead and genuine long-term potential for the right person.
About the Role
- Based in Timaru, with a large portion of work in Waimate
- Residential renovations and new build packages
- Pole sheds, decking, and concrete work
- Supporting day to day site operations
- Working alongside the owner (not required to work unsupervised)
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a building labourer
- Confident operating power tools
- Concrete experience (including screening/finishing) highly desirable
- Strong communication skills and reliability
- Full driver's licence and own vehicle (travel allowance considered)
- Own tools is a bonus
You don't need to be a qualified builder, but you must be capable, practical, and able to hit the ground running.
