About the Role
You’ll be working across a variety of residential projects, from renovations through to new builds. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who can confidently manage their own work while contributing positively to the wider site team.
Key Duties & Expectations
- Deliver Quality Work - First Time, Every Time
- Carry out all aspects of carpentry to a high standard, from framing to finishing, cladding to fixing. Precision, pride, and attention to detail are essential.
Interpret and Apply Plans Confidently
- Read and work from drawings, specifications, and sequencing documents accurately, with a clear understanding of how your work fits into the overall build.
Work Independently and Productively
- Plan ahead, manage your tasks, and keep momentum on site without needing constant supervision.
Mentor and Support Apprentices
- Lead by example. Share knowledge, demonstrate strong work ethic, and help develop the next generation of builders.
Communicate Clearly with Supervisors and Subtrades
- Keep supervisors informed of progress, issues, or delays, and work respectfully alongside other trades to keep the site running smoothly.
Take Responsibility for Tools, Materials, and Site Standards
- Look after your tools and company equipment, maintain a clean and organised work area, and use materials efficiently.
Model Safety Without Compromise
- Identify hazards early, follow all safety procedures, and set the standard for safe work practices on site.
Be a Professional at All Times
- Represent Venture Build professionally when dealing with clients, inspectors, consultants, and suppliers.
What We’re Looking For
- Trade-qualified Carpenter / Licensed Builder
- Strong experience across residential builds and renovations
