Position Overview:
We’re looking for experienced Drainlayers to join our team and contribute to a range of drainage installations across civil projects in the Waikato. This role offers long-term career potential within a growing company that values reliability, quality work, and professional development.
You’ll be part of a motivated crew, working alongside skilled operators, supervisors, and engineers in a supportive and well-equipped environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install stormwater and wastewater drainage systems
- Lay PVC, PE, and concrete pipes to grade
- Work in and around trench shields and live services
- Operate machinery where required (excavators, rollers, loaders)
- Read and interpret site plans and levels
- Maintain a safe, clean, and productive work environment
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in civil drainage, including stormwater and wastewater installations
- Comfortable working in trench shields and confined environments
- Ability to read plans, shoot levels, and follow technical instructions
- Strong problem-solving skills and a practical, hands-on mindset
- Able to manage tasks independently while contributing to a team
- Full New Zealand driver’s licence (Class 2 and WTR endorsements preferred)
- Commitment to health and safety and maintaining a safe worksite
- Physically fit and able to work in all weather conditions
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test
