Position Overview:

As a Driller, you will play a key role in projects, operating machinery to complete tasks such as underground thrusting and trenching. You will work with modern technology to ensure precision and efficiency in your work, while tackling a variety of conditions on-site. This role offers the opportunity to develop your skills and contribute to important infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate machinery to move materials, clear ground, dig holes, trenches, and perform underground thrusting
  • Assist with manual labour duties as required, ensuring tasks are completed safely and efficiently
  • Work in varying and potentially extreme conditions, including heat, cold, dust, and noise, while maintaining high standards
  • Provide direction and support to other drillers on-site to meet project timelines
  • Maintain a high level of physical fitness to perform tasks effectively on-site

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in drilling or a similar role
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a crew independently
  • Experience in coordinating with other drillers to meet project goals
  • High attention to safety protocols and construction standards
  • Full New Zealand driver’s license (WT endorsement preferred)
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test
