Drilling Assistant - NZ FIFO

We're on the lookout for Drilling Assistants to join our team across multiple mine sites in New Zealand. This is your chance to gain hands-on experience, build valuable skills, and take the first step toward a rewarding career in mining. You will be working on 2 weeks on, 1 week off the roster with all travel, food & accommodation will be provided for you.

Tō tūranga hou | Your new role
- Assist the driller with rods
- Assist with setting up, dismantling & moving drill rigs.
- Remove/clean core samples
- Presentation of core samples
- Assist in daily pre-starts
- Monitor & maintain fuel/oil levels
- Routine maintenance on rigs
- Clean drill rigs, vehicles, equipment & tools
- Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers
Ngā uara me ngā pūkenga e angitu ai koe | What you'll need to succeed
- Full driver's license & able to drive a manual
- NZ Citizen or Permanent Resident (no work visas)
- Previous trades experience
- Clean criminal history check
- Strong H&S standards
- Must be happy to work away from home for up to 2 weeks at a time
- Must be able to lift over 23kg
- Open to working day or night shifts
