Class 2-4Truck Driver/Operator -Recycling Division

Atlas Concrete has been a trusted supplier of ready-mix concrete and related services in Auckland and Northland for over 70 years. Our Recycling Division plays a crucial role in managing concrete waste efficiently, and we are looking for a dedicated suction and sweeper truck Driver & Operator to join our team at our Riverhead facility. This is a full-time role which guarantees a minimum of 40 hours per week.

About the Role: This is a hands-on, physical role that involves driving and operating suction and sweeper trucks. No prior experience is necessary, as we provide comprehensive training to the right candidate. You will be responsible for collecting and removing concrete waste, maintaining equipment, and ensuring a clean and safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operating trucks and machinery – including suction and sweeper trucks.
• Transporting and unloading concrete waste at designated recycling sites
• Maintaining vehicles and equipment – daily checks, cleaning, and reporting issues
• Working as part of a team to meet operational and customer demands
• Complying with Health & Safety regulations and reporting any hazards or incidents

What We’re Looking For:

• Class 2-4 Truck Driver Licence (required)
• Physically fit – this is a manual labor job
• Team player – must work well with others and take initiative
• Not afraid to get hands dirty in a heavy industrial environment
• Health & Safety focused – understanding of site hazards and safe work practices

Important Requirements: Must have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa Must pass a pre-employment medical, drug & alcohol test (ongoing random testing applies)

Full time Monday to Saturday. 5:30am starts. Variable finish times.
