Taggart Earthmoving ltd is a family-owned business that started in 1953; in the past 68 years, we have been part of many large projects in and around Canterbury and the wider South Island. We specialise in large scale earthworks projects, site works, drainage, demolition, heavy haulage and shingle processing and sales. Here at Taggart, we take pride in our work, because of this we are known for many awards and high-quality workmanship with any project we take on.

- Ability to lead a team on site, including subcontractors.
- Can work effectively and efficiently for extended periods of time with limited supervision
- Can make sound decisions
- High personal standards of presentation; and
- Is drug free (Pre-employment, reasonable cause, post-incident and random drug testing).
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- Minimum 4 years’ experience operating civil machinery (Grader, Tractor Back Blade, Skid Steer, Excavator for carparks, roading, floor slabs, kerb line prep, footpath prep, trench prep and berm prep)
- Full New Zealand Drivers Licence class 1-4 preferred
- Wheels / Tracks / Rollers Endorsement
- Site Safe Passport (training will be provided)
- High personal standards and a positive attitude towards health and safety
