Machine Operator - TEMP - PERM // PERMENANT Role | Christchurch

Are you an experienced Machine Operator looking for stability and a great team environment? We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established drainage and civil company that delivers high quality residential, commercial, and civil drain laying projects across Christchurch and North Canterbury.
They are known for their reliable service, modern equipment, and a team that takes pride in doing the job right the first time.
About the Role They are after entry level or experienced machine operators.
You'll be operating machinery on a variety of drainage and civil works projects, including:
- Residential and commercial drainage
- Septic tank systems and installations
- Drain repairs, unblocking, and maintenance
Civil excavation and earthworks This is a temp to perm or a straight permanent for the right candidate, a full-time position offering long-term security and growth for the right operator.
What You'll Be Doing
- Operating diggers/excavators safely and efficiently
- Assisting with drain laying work and general site tasks
- Following health & safety procedures
- Working alongside a tight-knit team to deliver quality results
- Supporting larger civil projects when required
What We're Looking For
- Experience operating machinery in civil or drainage work
- WTR endorsements (required)
- Class 2 is Ideal.
- Good understanding of site safety
- Reliable, hardworking, and able to work unsupervised
- Physically fit and willing to help on the ground when needed
