EQUIP Recruitment is seeking experienced Excavator Operators to join a well-established civil construction team based in Palmerston North, working across the wider Manawatu region.
This role involves operating excavators on live infrastructure projects so a high level of skill, safety awareness and reliability is essential. This is a hands-on civil role and will also include manual labouring, not just time in the cab.
About the Role
- Operating excavators of various sizes on civil construction sites
- Working around live services and infrastructure
- Trenching, levelling and detailed excavation work
- Supporting ground crews with manual labour when required
- Working across commercial and rural projects
What We're Looking For
- Class 2-4 licence
- Minimum 2 years' experience operating excavators
- W, T, R endorsements
- Proven ability to dig level trenches and work to plans
- Strong safety awareness, especially around live services
- Physically fit and willing to assist with labouring duties
- Reliable transport and strong work ethic
- Good attitude, attention to detail and reliability
