Digger Operator

• Civil construction earthworks and drainage projects
• $30 to $40 per hour depending on experience

Job Description

We're working with a well respected, locally owned civil contractor delivering a wide range of earthworks and excavation projects across the region. Their work includes roading, foundations, driveways, subdivisions, and general civil construction. With a busy year ahead, they're looking for a skilled Civil Digger Operator to join a close knit crew who take pride in doing things properly. This is a hands on role for someone who is confident in a machine, happy working across different sites, and not afraid to jump out and help the team when needed. Good people matter here just as much as good skills.

What you'll be doing

• Operating diggers, loaders, and other WTR class machinery
• Civil earthworks, excavation, and site preparation
• Foundations, driveways, and infrastructure related works
• Supporting the crew on the ground when required
• Working safely and efficiently on active construction sites
• Taking pride in quality finishes and tidy sites

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a digger operator in civil construction
• Confident operating machinery across varied site conditions
• Background in excavation, foundations, drainage, or similar civil work
• Strong work ethic with a positive, can do attitude
• Team player who gets along well with crew and clients
• Physically fit and comfortable with hands on site work

Required tickets and licences

These are required for this role and are a must have:

• Wheels, Tracks, Rollers endorsement
• ConstructSafe or Site Safe
• Relevant machine operating experience

Additional licences such as Class 2 are highly regarded.
