Te kōwhiringa | The Opportunity
We are looking for a Driver Operator to join our team based in New Plymouth. This exciting opportunity sits within the NPIP (New Plymouth Infrastructure Partnership) which is a collaborative venture between the New Plymouth District Council and Downer.
Your expertise will be utilised across various situations across diverse range of construction, renewal and maintenance projects. You will be working alongside our dedicated team to operate machinery including excavators, rollers, and trucks but will also from time to time need to use hand tools to get the job done.
If you are local to New Plymouth or perhaps looking for a change of pace, here's a great opportunity to settle new roots in the Taranaki with a reliable employer.
Nga pūkenga matua | Important Skills
With an eye for detail and a steady hand, you will be confident in operating heavy machinery and delivering quality results. You will also have:
* Minimum Class 4 License required
* Civil and Road Pavement Experience Preferred but not necessary
* A commitment to safe working practices
* The flexibility to work shift work as required
* Have a positive 'can-do' attitude
