EQUIP Recruitment is seeking an experienced Hydrovac Operator with a Class 4 licence to support civil and infrastructure projects across the Wellington region. This is a hands-on role suited to someone safety-focused, reliable and confident working around live services.
What You'll Be Doing
- Operating hydrovac units on active civil and infrastructure sites
- Carrying out non-destructive digging around underground services
- Working safely alongside other crews, operators and trades
- Completing daily vehicle and equipment checks
- Basic maintenance and upkeep of hydrovac equipment
- Following site plans, TMPs and health & safety requirements
What We're Looking For
- Full NZ Class 4 licence (required)
- Previous hydrovac experience preferred
- Strong safety awareness and site knowledge
- Good communication skills and team mindset
- Physically fit and comfortable with hands-on work
- Ability to pass pre-employment checks
- Legal right to work in New Zealand
